This is a brand new position in a start-up Health Economics consultancy which has been in business for just over 2 years, has a strong pipeline of projects and works on interesting, complex economic analysis projects with innovative medtech / biotech clients. The position offers a unique opportunity for a well-qualified and ambitious Health Economist to take on a role where there will be unrivalled autonomy, opportunity and flexibility.
Projects will be varied but will include: cost utility analyses, budget impact model development and creation of economic evidence for innovative medical technologies and medicine products as well as pathway redesign and population health / public health projects. However, the owner of the business is keen to expand the service offering in line with the skills of the incoming team member – if you have specific research /analysis areas which you would like to develop, this could be the place to do it!
Formal training (ideally to MSc / PhD level) in Health Economics, biostatistics, mathematics or a similar quantitative subject is required and some experience of health economic model development from within academia, consulting or an industry placement/job is important. In addition, good Excel skills are vital and some knowledge/experience using R would be advantageous.
