Market Access and Reimbursement leadership for an innovative, market-leading medical device which has strong international market penetration. The Senior Manager will lead strategy development and implementation for the region, engaging directly with payers and leading a small team who will execute in country strategy.
The Senior Manager must have a detailed understanding of relevant country systems, reimbursement pathways, price negotiations and contracting requirements as well as barriers to Access and Reimbursement as well as previous Medical Device / Medtech product experience. (Pharma only experience is not sufficient for this position.)
Engaging regularly with local payers and policy makers will be a core part of this position and therefore, excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential. The successful candidate will have proven experience of navigating procurement, reimbursement and market access negotiations in at least one of the relevant markets and in addition, some Health Economics training or experience, specifically, the ability to use a budget impact model and understand cost effectiveness is also important.
