This is a newly created position, leading a busy, well-resourced HTA unit within a dynamic pharma company based in Berkshire, near London.
The company is a very well-established (over 10 years) and stable HEOR Consultancy which employs circa 20 people and is based in excellent new offices in central London. The Health Outcomes Manager position is a senior role within the team.
Applications encouraged from candidates working in Consulting or Academia who have demonstrable expertise in systematic review / evidence synthesis methodology, a good level of knowledge of HTA in the UK / Europe and competence with at least some of the following: Excel, WinBUGS, Stata, RevMan.

Applicants must have a PhD in a quantitative science subject such as health economics, biostatistics, econometrics, statistics, epidemiology or psychometrics and a track record of applying quantitative methods to real-world health research problems is also essential. In addition, proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (e.g., SAS, R, Stata, S-PLUS) is very important.
This is a new position within the UK & Ireland unit of a major global pharma company with a strong pipeline of specialist products at various stages of development.
The Patient Access Manager will be responsible for developing and leading Market Access strategies for speciality pharma products; including leading successful HTA submissions, developing an effective advisory network including relevant industry groups, patient networks and KOLs and securing optimal reimbursement for new products.
Applicants must have an excellent understanding of NHS funding processes including tendering, HTA and patient access within the UK (and preferably Ireland) as well as a good understanding of Health Economics and proven project management, stakeholder communication and organisational skills. In addition, some experience within Public / Government Affairs and Policy would be a distinct advantage as there will be increasing opportunities to work in this area as part of the role.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience within a Health Economics or Patient Access position covering the UK market.
